1. Destroy everything!
Anything that isn’t part of the terrain is usually destructible. You can and should wreck them by running them over. Barrels, fences, boxes – just about any piece of junk on the road is fair game! Every time you destroy something you gain a bit of nitro recharge. The more debris you destroy within a short period, the more nitro you’ll earn back. More turbo boost means much faster speeds, so get used to utter destruction of the environment!
Keep in mind that if your current car is heavy enough, you can destroy other racers if you’re going fast enough! Perform a long nitro boost and if any poor soul dares to get in your way, show them what you are capable of! Not only is this incredibly satisfying, but you’ll get a big boost to your nitro recharge gauge.
2. Drift as much as you can!
Tapping the brakes and turning at the same time send your car into a slick side-way drifting. Drifting dramatically speeds up how fast your nitro recharges, so try to do it as much as you can. Even the tiniest drift that lasts a split second can get you some significant charge. Here’s a neat little trick: build up your nitro until you get three full bars. Boost, then wait until your bar is at the red and boost again to start a long nitro chain. Your nitro recharges even when you’re already boosting, so if you can keep the drifting up, you can theoretically keep a long nitro chain running for a very, very long time. Master this trick to get almost unlimited nitro boosting!
3. Complete the bonus objectives!
Each level has two bonus objectives in addition to the usual three stars. You just have to finish in 1st place to get three stars, but the bonus objectives require specific accomplishments. Some of them will ask you to stay in the air for a certain amount of time, perform barrel rolls, and other miscellaneous stuff. Try to complete as many of these as you can, as often they have metal materials as the reward. Materials are needed in upgrading your cars, alongside the regular car parts.
4. Compete in multiplayer races!
In addition to the free card boxes you get from obtaining all stars on a season, you can also get a shiny card box from multiplayer. Every day, if you win three multiplayer races, you’ll receive a new card box. Try to do this every day, but be careful as your car’s oil wears out just as if you were racing in a regular season race.
5. How does a nitro get triggered?
This is one of the most asked questions by our readers. Just press on the “Nitro” button. Quickly press again on the “Nitro” button when the bar flashes red. The requirement is two bars to perform a turbo boost.
